Part 2 of the historic meeting of the minds at Princeton University between Dr. Cornel West and Dr. Sherman Jackson discussing religion, politics, and African-Americans in Islam.
Dr. Jackson and Dr. West for the first time share the stage and have a conversation on Islam, Christianity and this question of Black Suffering. A must watch! (1st of several videos)
Spoken Soul is my new Spoken Word Poetry album due to be released in August 2009. The album is my most personal and most vulnerable series of poems which came as a result of a challenging time in my life and the lives of those close to me. As such this album is not so much a “commericial” release as it is a very personal release (figuratively and literally). In this video I give a little insight into the album and provide some context.

This poem is off the new album Spoken Soul and it is called The Most Beautifullest. The video you see was recorded live in London, England by Soul City Arts. The Most Beautifullest follows in the tradition started on my last album of including one track that is an ode to Women. On my previous album Poetically Speaking the track is Muslimah which is specific to Muslim Women. On this album The Most Beautifullest is about Women in general. Enjoy!
